Guests enjoyed a lovely evening starting with a reception on the lawn
sipping Sage-Infused Riesling from Felicia's Atomic Lounge and handmade
spirits from Finger Lakes Distilling. Following the hors d’oeuvre
reception guests were treated to a locally sourced 5 course gourmet
dinner paired with Finger Lakes wines and the stories of the farmers,
producers, winemakers and chefs themselves.

On Monday, December 8th from 11am-3pm the Finger Lakes Culinary Bounty held its annual Winter Networking Meeting at Casa Larga Winery in Fairport,NY. Over 25 FLCB members showcased their products and services during the trade show while guests perused their tables, enjoyed samples and networked with other professionals enthusiastic about promoting the Finger Lakes as a unique culinary destination. Afterwards over 75 guests joined us for a delectable lunch featuring local foods and beverages and to hear guest speakers Brian Nicholson from Red Jacket Orchard and Michael Welch from Edible Finger Lakes speak to how adaptability and passion can help FLCB members find opportunity in the challenging economy. Thank you to all for making the event a true success!
The FLCB Winter Networking Meeting offers a great opportunity to connect with other Finger Lakes farmers, chefs, wineries, artisan food producers, and businesses interested in growing the culinary identity of our region.

Culinary enthusiasts shouldn’t miss this opportunity to savor the finest foods of the Finger Lakes at this locally sourced 5 course gourmet dinner paired with Finger Lakes wines. Held in the pavilion outdoors on the stunningly beautiful grounds of Geneva on the Lake, the evening will begin at 6:30 with an hors d’oeuvres reception featuring the finest selection of Finger Lakes wines, artisan cheeses and fruits.
Red Jacket Orchard Summer Fruit Trees are in Bloom

The early hot spring weather over the past two weeks has put the summer fruit tress into full bloom. Our orchards that contain apricots, plums, cherries, peaches can be seen from the roadside while driving by; full of white and green flowers telling us that the summer fruit season is fully under way. Also coming along are our newly expanded fields of Strawberries, Rhubarb, Blueberries as well as many other berries. Looking ahead to the next months we hope to anticipate a wonderful crop of these summer fruits that can be found locally in grocery stores, farm markets, restaurants and down in the New York City Green Markets as well as many of the fine gourmet shops! All of us here at the orchard are excited for the season to begin, kicking off with local varieties of strawberries in early June! Also ahead in the next months look for Red Jacket Orchards signature summer juice line to be on the shelves. These include our unique flavors of Rhubarb/Apple, Lemon/Apple otherwise known as JOE'S SUMMER BLEND, our Tart Cherry Stomp Nectar and last but not least our Strawberry/Apple will return with fresh berries from our fields. This festival is a great example of how community members worked together to produce and promote an event highlighting the food, wine, music and the arts of the area surrounding the four western Finger Lakes, self titled the “Little Finger Lakes District”. Finger Lakes food producers offered tastes of their products and a Gala dinner prepared by area chefs featured food produced within the Little Lakes area.
